I was born and raised on Vancouver Island, where I spent 52 years. It was a beautiful place to grow up. However, yearning to escape the rat race of city life, in 2024 my spouse and I sold our house, left our careers, retired early, bought a toy hauler, loaded our motorcycles and hit the road. We made the tiny town of Nakusp our home base, with plans to spend summers there and travel in winter in our fifth wheel. I have always loved nature and wildlife since a child.
