A professional photographer since 2010 and instructor for over 8 years. Simon, a published National Geographic photographer and runner up in Canadian Geographic’s Wildlife Photographer of the Year. His work in marine conservation and wildlife tourism has been published in multiple books and magazines, National Geographic, Canadian Geographic, The New York Times, Oceanographic, LePoint to name a few. His previous career in film and television as a TV graphic/Visual FX artist creating opening titles for shows like David Attenborough’s 'Wildlife on One' and award-winning FX in shows like Stargate SG1 and Tropic Thunder Guiding since 2018 on the coast of British Columbia, Alaska, the polar regions and sub-Arctic wilds of Churchill, Manitoba, he considers the beauty and abundance of wildlife in these regions beyond measure to photograph.
