I grew up in a small town on Georgian Bay where there were tons of wild places to explore. My passion and curiosity for nature led to studying environmental science in university and a career in environmental protection. I'm a member of Canadian Conservation, a collective of photographers who donate their art to raise funds to help conserve wildlife and wild spaces. I enjoy photographing all types of wildlife, but my passions are aquatic ecosystems and water birds. I use a variety of techniques including floating hides, blinds, wading, swimming and kayaking to literally immerse myself in rivers, lakes and wetlands to capture eye-level images that illustrate the beauty of water birds and their aquatic environments.
