Description
The sun was starting to set at Petrie Island in Ottawa's east end when this double crested cormorant took advantage of the last bit of warm sunlight to dry off its wings in the autumn evening. It had been fishing with two other cormorants around the waterway, getting plenty of dives in which meant it got plenty wet. By the time the sun set, its belly was full and its wings fully dry.
