Description
It's the busy time of year for beavers as they get their lodges ready for the winter. It was golden hour when this beaver came out to scout the shore to ensure it was safe for the rest of the colony to come out and start on their jobs. The beaver remained calm, didn't slap its tail and I can only assumed went back to the colony behind the tall grass to inform them it was safe to continue construction.
The golden hour light can be reflected in the yellow and blue ripples in the water, which look like they are appearing from the movement of silk.
