Description
These two siblings were part of a skulk of five in total. Sitting behind a screen, the kits were comfortable playing while we watched on. Did you know fox kits sleep in dens up to 8ft. deep? Sometimes they’ll build their own den and keep returning to it every breeding season as long as it hasn’t been disturbed, and other times they’ll take over existing dens from other animals like groundhogs and expand on them. And foxes also play a critical role in decreasing the spread of Lyme disease by controlling the rodents that carry it.
