An early 3:30 am wake up to make our way to Cape Clear, a beautiful vista over the Margaree River on Cape Breton Island, almost fifty kilometres of gravel road into the highlands. The foliage was at its prime, primarily maple, birch, beech and ash. I set up facing the valley towards where the sun was to rise. Shot at 14mm and cropped slightly, f9 1/250s ISO 640. (Sony a1ii)
