Severe Warned Storms between Yorkton & Whitewood SK Canada
Beautiful Ground Scrapping BEAST of a SHELF CLOUD South of Stockholm SK Canada
Models were suggesting to me that the best storms were going to be in the region of Weyburn to Estevan and then later on, make it's way to Whitewood. This is almost 100% exactly how the storm turned out!
I worked till 5pm so I couldn't really "pick a target." Luckily nature wanted me to see storms!
Started the chase day, right after work in the Haas Nissan parking lot with a Beautiful Shelf Cloud moving in from the West around 5:07 pm.
It was an odd colored sky and some what poor visibility from the wildfire smoke.
From there I went home, gathered my gear grabbed a snack and began to decide on what to do.
I went for a chance on hoping the storm that was near Weyburn was going to head towards Whitewood (roughly 1 hr 20 mins away) and off I went.
Around 8:10 pm, South of Stockholm, I was in front of the Beautiful Ground Scrapping BEAST of a SHELF CLOUD!
I stayed with it till about 9pm where it lost almost all of it's structure and was pitch black outside so called it a day.
