Description
Found my first eastern screech owl today! Only my third type of owl I’ve photographed so far. I had been looking for them in every tree hole for months and I nearly walked right by this one. I saw something that didn’t quite look like bark on this tree and when I peaked through my view finder I was absolutely thrilled to see that it was an owl soaking up the sun. What surprised me was how big it actually was! Very thankful to have spent a little bit of time with this precious bird. It was a good day.
